Apartment in Rapperswil
This very bright and well-located apartment was lacking personality and visual comfort. The client decided she needed a real change and kept only a few pieces of furniture: a big comfortable gray sofa in the living room, a desk and wardrobe in the guest room, and a small commode in her own room. Based on these and with the motto “neutral and quiet”, we planned the necessary additional furniture. For the living room, Vitra and Morgen set the tone; in the dining room corner charcoal Eames chairs and a beautiful Walnut Prouvé table were selected; and between the entrance and the living area, we installed a large and practical Morgen Sideboard. The rest is a mix of Muubs and Bestbefore accessories, a nice large rug, a couple of Avec cushions and some good-looking classical lamps from Hind Rabii. The plain simple linen curtains give the final loose and quiet touch to the room. In the bedroom, the change is bigger: a new Letti bed, 2 Muubs stools as side-tables, a ceiling lamp from Hind Rabii. Accessories such as new plain bed linen, with a bedspread and knitted rug from Avec make this room a very cozy cocoon. Today the owner of the place is looking forward to coming home after a long working day to find her nice, peaceful place where she even discovers the pleasure of entertaining… which hadn’t been the case for a long time!
